The poster summarises the central aspects of the PhD project "Competencies for communicative action in the context of mediatised digitality". Based on the assumption that reality is always socially shared and communicatively constructed, the question of how the processes of the construction of reality change in the context of mediatised digitality is explored. This is followed by modelling corresponding competences that enable teachers in particular to understand, classify and shape processes of the construction of reality under the conditions of mediatised digitality.
