dc.description.abstract© 2018 IEEE. Bioimpedance spectroscopy is a technique that can potentially be used to differentiate healthy from sick tissues based on the variation of electrical properties of biological material when submitted to frequency variable electric fields. In this paper, the technique was applied to measure the impedance of five different tissues of a healthy mice and two cancerous infected with the tumor lines UT-SCC-5 (tongue squamous cell carcinoma) and UM-SCC-10A (laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma). Results show that the different tissue types show a significant variation in their impedance values. More interestingly is that the two cancerous tumors have the highest conductivity values, or equivalently the lowest impedance values.en
