The present article deals with the geometrical shape of the Cheops Pyramid in Giza. In Egyptology the angle of the pyramid surfaces (51°50'40"), which is the angle measured with respect to the horizontal plane, is attributed to the ratio 7/11. In the literature also the transcendental number pi as well as the irrational number of the golden section (phi) regularly appear in this context for more than 100 years. On the other hand, it has been found that the four base lines of the square pyramid differ up to 20 cm in length from each other. Both phenomena, i.e. the different mathematical constants and the supposed inaccuracy, are possibly associated. With these different constants the shape of a regular four-sided pyramid is mathematically over-determined. A single constant is sufficient, unless the pyramid contains an intended small asymmetry. On this basis some obvious mathematical models were tested in part with the aid of computers, which lead to an astonishing result. Additionally, the different shapes of the sockets at the four corners of the Cheops-Pyramid seem to reflect accurately the measured slight asymmetry.
