This work focused on the development of a surfactant-based extraction process as a competitive process for the recovery of biomaterials from authentic feedstocks. The stability of the extraction was demonstrating in a batch and a continuous mode. Therefore, it was possible to apply the technique for the separation of sensitive biomaterials in technical and pilot scale. Hence, attention was given to the potential of the process as a new separation tool for sensitive, valuable compounds in the biotechnology.
