This paper investigates wireless transmission of data sets within a high-speed train and the influence of train interior on the same. For the examinations orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) is used. With respect to fire protection doors, seats and windows, this work gives a classification of train interior parts regarding the attenuation. The results support the generation of future research strategies for various train design types regarding wireless train-onboard communication and the Train Communication Network (TCN).
