Agile product development faces recurring challenges under time pressure. Nudging offers a promising, choice-preserving intervention. This paper presents the explorative development and validation of a laboratory experiment assessing nudges against agile teamwork challenges. A systematic literature review identified communication breakdowns among team members as a central, generalizable challenge, informing a decision tree for selecting lab-suitable nudges. Using the Experimental Vignette Methodology, an immersive Home-Office scenario was implemented and tested in a mixed-design laboratory study (n=19) combining think-aloud protocols and questionnaires. Findings on task comprehension inform refinement of the experimental setup for future confirmatory studies.
