Due to a growing variety of products and increasing volatility of demand, manufacturing companies are faced with the challenge of ensuring uniform utilization of their capital-intensive machines while at the same time ensuring short delivery times. Situations in which the available capacity is temporarily under- or overloaded are therefore particularly problematic. A possible solution to this problem is the cross-company use of production resources. The aim of the work is therefore to develop a holistic method for the efficient implementation of such cooperation within suitable company networks.
