Seaports are critical links in global supply chains and international logistics networks. They are considered to be a link of cooperation between countries, including transport, logistics, tourism and energy. The recent global economic climate has increased maritime transport (Oskin, 2014; UNCTAD, 2018). One of the reasons is bilateral trade between major economies of the world. Following this, private and public actors are investing significantly to expand or develop new terminals to handle the quick upsurge of sea freight.
