The final publication by the research project BRIDGING (2018 – 2020), which analysed transfer of digital higher education concepts into the disciplines within the frame of networks of Higher Education Institutions (HEI-networks), includes four subject matters. First, it focuses on the conceptual frame, i.e. how the main research terms were applied and which scientific findings in the respective research fields can be found.
Secondly, the empirical analysis according to specified research questions is illustrated, focusing on the digital higher education concepts, the transfer strategies and factors as well as the role of the disciplines.
Third, a deducted reflection model on disciplinary dimensions of differentiation, their implications on transfer processes in the HEI-networks as well as a generally applicable model of multidirectional transfer as a matter of translation and interfaces are presented.
The study closes with possible implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the identified transfer factors in HEI and the HEI-networks.
