Founded in 1979 the University Library (TUB) of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) has been offering its services on Campus at the heart of the TUHH since 1991. As an independent information and communication centre the University Library is an important landmark of the TUHH in that it makes available information on the current status of science and technology. The library is not only used internally but as a specialized technical library of the Hamburg region its services are also available to citizens who are not students. The University Library financed books, journals and the access to electronic media.
