Item type:Project, Access status: without files , MDO and REgulations for Low-boom and Environmentally Sustainable Supersonic aviationAn eco-sustainable way to travel faster than the speed of sound The aviation industry has transformed dramatically over the past century, forever changing how we live and work by bringing people closer and connecting the world. While travelling thousands of miles in just a few hours is easier than ever before, travelling faster than the speed of sound is also in the air. The EU-funded MOREandLESS project will review the environmental impact of supersonic aviation. It will apply a multidisciplinary holistic framework to help check how enabling technologies of supersonic aircraft, trajectories and operations comply with environmental requirements. It will cover the entire supersonic speed regime and the most promising aircraft configurations, propulsive technologies and alternative fuels. The findings will inspire the future of environmentally sustainable supersonic aviation.63 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Project, Access status: without files , Reduction of the Environmental Impact of aviation via Optimisation of aircraft size/range and flight NetworkOn course to reduce aircraft emissions More and more efforts are being made worldwide to reduce CO2 emissions and mitigate their impact on the environment. Aircraft are the greatest and growing emissions source within the transportation sector. As such, the sector must find new ways to reverse this trend. With this in mind, the EU-funded REIVON project’s goal is to analyse and identify potentials for global reduction of emissions through the most effective adjustment of aircraft size and range and the flight network. To achieve this, REIVON will apply the best integrated, multidisciplinary expert-based approach and make use of different databases and several state-of-the-art models and tools. The effects of the analysis will be published in scientific reports.27 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
