This report presents the findings of a company survey conducted among port-oriented logistics companies in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Germany. The study investigated the potential for freight transport via Hamburg on Motorways of the Sea type connections as well as the characteristics of goods flows in the Hamburg region and its hinterland. This study was part of Work Package E of the INTERREG III B project Northern Maritime Corridor II – Motorway of the Northern Sea (2006-2008).
