This thesis investigates the influence of synthetic natural gas and hydrogen as well as different heating technologies on the integrated energy system of Germany with different shares of renewables. First, the overall system is optimized economically. Second, the gas grid is simulated using a quasi-stationary model. Based on the results, the gas grid is aggregated to build a dynamic gas grid model. Third, it is used in a dynamic model of the integrated energy system to investigate the required grid extension of the gas and power grid for the different variations.
