In many ranges of application the necessity exists to predict the penetration of water vapour into porous materials and the phase change to water or ice as well as the re-drying process. In order to be able to make reliable predictions to the dynamic behavior of these transport processes, validated mathematical models are necessary. These presuppose on the one hand a good understanding and a problem oriented evaluation of the arising physical processes, on the other hand reliable measuring data. In this work this problem is discussed by the example of the airplane insulation.
