The research field of chiral metasurfaces has recently gained significant attention due to their ability to enable the observation of various phenomena, including chiral strong coupling [1], lasing [2] or harmonic generation [3]. In a previous work, we showed a robust metasurface consisting of rotated achiral silicon nanorods for generating optical chiral response [4]. The present study explores the same planar system combined with a metallic mirror, using its absorption as an advantage for shaping chiral resonances.
