Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , Influence of mode conversion and ohmic losses on electromagnetic properties of THz gyrotron cavities(IEEE, 2015-09); ; ; On the basis of a rigorous multimode approach it is shown that mode conversion and ohmic losses can notably influence quality factors of a THz gyrotron cavity. They also lead to the significant distortion of the field distribution inside the output section of the THz gyrotron cavity making it strongly multimode. Influence of these effects on the THz gyrotron operation is also discussed. Specific calculations were performed for the cavity of FU CW III gyrotron, designed in Fukui University to operate in sub-THz and THz ranges.Publicationtype: Conference Paper26 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , On the theory of a circular waveguide with anisotropic impedance surface for gyro-devices: beam-wave interactionIn [1], the 'cold' (beam-absent) theory of a finite-length circular waveguide with anisotropic surface impedance was presented. The purpose of the present paper is to derive the self-consistent system of equations describing stationary regime of the beam-wave interaction in the gyro-device with an interaction structure in the form of such waveguide. Similar equations valid for a perfectly conducting waveguide are well-known [2-5] and in active use.Publicationtype: Conference Paper26 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , On the theory of a circular waveguide with anisotropic impedance surface for gyro-devices: eigenmodesCircular waveguides with anisotropic impedance surfaces can be used in gyro-devices in order to improve their performance. Among them are dielectric-loaded metallic waveguides [1-5], axially [6] and azimuthally [7] corrugated waveguides. Their eigenmodes are purely (or nearly) TE and TM modes only in a number of extreme cases. Such cases were considered previously in [1-7]. However, in the general case, when the surface impedance is arbitrary, waveguide modes are hybrid HE and EH waves. Derivation of the boundary-value problem for such waves is the main aim of the study.Publicationtype: Conference Paper30
