In the early phase of offer planning, it is uncertain (1) which open offers will be accepted by customers and (2) what capacities the resulting orders will require. Therefore, it is particularly challenging to determine realistic delivery times and to promise them bindingly. The model-based order acceptance and scheduling procedure allows to determine realistic delivery times with the help of early available information and by using the throughput diagram.
