Using aircraft manufacturing as an example, the concept shows how information efforts and process errors can be reduced and how aviation-compliant documentation can be simplified. A four-stage integration approach combines tools and assistance systems within a software platform. Laboratory studies demonstrate increased productivity and quality as well as high user acceptance.
