    MBfX: Modellbasierte Ansätze zur Unterstützung der Produktentwicklung
    Systemmodellierungstechniken sind in den letzten Jahren immer populärer geworden. Viele der Ansätze zur Verwendung von Systemmodellen stammen zwar ursprünglich aus dem Systems Engineering bzw. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), doch werden inzwischen auf verschiedene Anwendungen und Bereiche angewandt, auch außerhalb des ursprünglichen Bereichs Systems Engineering. So können diese Ansätze auch zur Verbesserung des Datenhandlings oder der Beschreibung von modularen Produktfamilien eingesetzt werden. Die modellierte Produktarchitektur bildet die Grundlage für Konfigurationen und kann einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz damit komplettieren. Weiterhin kann die Nutzung einer systematischen Modellierungssprache in verschiedenen Ansätzen Verwendung finden. Mögliche Anwendungen dafür werden in einem kleinen Auszug im letzten Teil des Kapitels beschrieben.

    Modellierungskonzept für Lösungsalternativen in der frühen Phase der Produktentwicklung von Marineschiffen
    (Gesellschaft für Systems Engineering (GfSE), 2023) ; ; ; ;
    Um bei Engineer-to-Order-Prozessen auf bestehende Lösungsalternativen für (Teil-) Systeme schnell zugreifen zu können, bedarf es einer Dokumentations- und Zugriffssystematik, die auf einer einheitlichen Datenstruktur basiert. Zusammen mit der thyssenkrupp Marine Systems GmbH (tkMS) als Systemanbieter für Marineschiffe entstand deshalb unter Anwendung der Systems Modeling Language (SysML) ein Modellierungskonzept für Lösungsalternativen. Das auf einer Generalisierungsbeziehung basierende Modellierungskonzept ermöglicht die standardisierte Ein- und Weitergabe von Parametern, die Systemtyp und Lösungsalternative charakterisieren. Durch die Standardisierung werden die Lösungsalternativen von Teilsystemen miteinander vergleichbar. Das Modell ermöglicht so die Suche nach möglichen Lösungsalternativen für den Projektkontext, was das Auffinden von Informationen zu bereits vorentwickelten Systemen beschleunigt. Das Modellierungskonzept wurde erfolgreich anhand des Beispiels Antriebsanlage im Unternehmen erprobt.

    Assessing the influence of digital innovations on the organizational design of product family generations
    The paper discusses increasing demands on product architecture and the resulting requirements and implications for organizational structure. Due to the rising conditions, the product architecture is increasingly developing into a complex construct in which transparency must be increased to continue developing products effectively. The approach of this paper is, based on the method of Design for Variety, a matrix-based modularization with the DSM and its extension to a cross-discipline multi-domain matrix to establish a reference to the organizational structure and to align it in a value-added way to good product architecture. This is done by an exemplary Investigation of the product family generation of a vacuum robot.

    Ansatz zur lastpfadoptimierten Gestaltung von Sandwichstrukturen mithilfe virtueller Tests und realitätsnahen Testaufbauten
    Approach for load path optimized design of sandwich structures using virtual tests and realistic test setups The design of sandwich structures is challenging due to the large number of constituents and materials used. Existing design approaches do not include the consideration of the occurring initial damage as well as application-oriented boundary conditions in testing and optimization. Therefore, a general approach to the design optimization is presented consisting of the four parts problem definition, physical test, virtual test and design optimization, as well as an initialization phase and subsequent iterations. An exemplary application is performed for the novel design concept of optimizing the geometry of the core filling. From the initial results, the potential of the new design approach becomes clear, which can be used as a basis for the design optimization of any sandwich structures.

    Model-Based Systems Engineering: Discovering Potentials for Methodical Modular Product Development
    A constantly growing market variety results in an increasing internal variety, which is reflected in increased variety costs. In order to cope with this situation, different methods for the development of modular product families and their modular product architectures were developed. During the implementation of these methods, different product data come together, which are linked in different tools. At this point, a document-based approach reaches its limits and inconsistencies occur. To counteract, the trend of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is being integrated into methodical modular product development. Using the example of method units of the Integrated PKT Approach for the Development of Modular Product Families, it is shown how the deposit of a meta model of product data enables consistency. The consistent model of the method units Design for Variety and Life Phases Modularization is extended by two elements: Configuration systems and the effects of modular product architectures. A configuration system based on this enables the efficient addressing of customer requirements in sales. The linking of the effects of modular product architectures strengthens the objective of Life Phases Modularization. Furthermore, the resulting consistent overall model generates several analysis options and opens up new possibilities, such as the establishment of Digital Twins.

    Methodical Modeling of Product and Process Data of Design Methods Using the Example of Modular Lightweight Design
    This paper shows how the methodically modeling of product and process data of design methods using the example of modular lightweight design to improve data traceability and continuity can be implemented. Therefore, the underlying methods from the areas of modular lightweight design, Model-Based Systems Engineering and methodical process steps are analyzed and their challenges collected. As basis a data-driven linkage of product and process models for methods is used. To establish this within the method of the modular lightweight design, the six main steps were analyzed with regards to possible inconsistencies and links. In this context, it is particularly important which input and which output data are required or generated in each of these steps. Using this information, the link between the process and product data models can be established. With this link, the consistency and continuity of the data can be improved, as uses and changes in one step can be traced to other relevant steps. Because the data itself now is more consistent, the steps and the method itself provide a better consistency and continuity. A SysML-model is presented, with which the product data model can be consistently linked with the process data model, based on a data tree. This integrated process and product data model is applied to aircraft cabin development to develop a continuous, consistent models in a methodical manner.
