Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , In vitro biocompatibility study and electrical properties of the PEDOT, PEDOT collagen coat, PEDOT nanotubes and PEDOT aerogels for neural electrodesThe aim of this study is to evaluate the cytotoxicity of Poly(3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT), PEDOT-collagen and PEDOT nanostructured coatings for neural electrodes. Incorporation of cell growth factors and the structuration of supporting material are two strategies to improve cell adhesion and biocompatibility in order to produce better and more specific neural implants. PEDOT coat, PEDOT-collagen coat, PEDOT nanotubes and PEDOT aerogel were tested for biocompability using the standard ISO 10993-5. PEDOT and PEDOT-Collagen coats were deposited via galvanostatic electropolymerization from a NaPSS micellar dispersion. In addition PEDOT nanotubes were obtained by hard polycarbonate template and PEDOT aerogels were chemically produced through a soft starch template. PEDOT samples were studied for biocompatibility, characterized by LCRmeter and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Biocompatibility test verified the absence of cytotoxic effects in all the PEDOT samples.Publicationtype: Journal Article104 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , A gain boosted folded cascode using telescopic boosting amplifiers with switched capacitor input level shiftersThis paper describes a single stage fully differential folded cascode operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) with fully differential gain boosting amplifiers designed in 1.2 VDC 130nm CMOS process technology. The amplifier is the driver for the analog to digital converter (ADC) of a blood pressure sensing medical implant [1] which uses wireless power transmission as its energy source [2]. The medical implant's design specifications require an amplifier with wide output swing, high accuracy, and the bandwidth to drive a differential 5 pF load at 4 ksps with minimum power consumption. The gain boosting amplifiers are telescopic cascoded amplifiers, which, by their design, have an input and output common mode voltage relationship which is opposite to what is needed for a gain boosted cascode configuration. To correct for this, a method for DC shifting the amplifier's input voltage using a switched capacitor network is presented.Publicationtype: Conference Paper160
