    Looking at the bigger picture: on the relevance of null effects of model differences across time
    Longitudinal research traditionally aims to detect and quantify change in outcomes such as attitudes, behaviors, or performance over time. Nonsignificant results, particularly in regards to longitudinal research designs, are however often overlooked, despite their potential theoretical and managerial relevance. This research contributes to addressing this gap by examining the stability of a theoretically grounded model across five independent time points. Adopting a model-logic approach to longitudinal analysis, time is conceptualized as a contextual dimension (e.g., a moderator) rather than as a predictor. Multigroup PLS-SEM is employed to assess the difference between the theoretically established relationships across years. The results do not reveal statistically significant differences in key structural paths, indicating a high degree of temporal stability. These null results provide evidence for the robustness and generalizability of the underlying theoretical mechanisms across varying economic and societal contexts. The study furthermore situates its design in the broader open science movement by framing longitudinal model comparisons as a form of structured temporal replication. Implications and guidelines for theory development, longitudinal modeling, and future research on replication and robustness in structural equation modeling are discussed.

    A review of the use of PLS-SEM in neuromarketing research
    (Rey Juan Carlos University, 2023-07-15) ; ;
    The methodology applied for the statistical analysis for under-standing, explaining and predicting consumer behavior represents an im-portant issue for neuromarketing research. This research analyses the use of the PLS-SEM method in this area. A total of 20 articles, which employed at least one neuromarketing method and performed PLS-SEM analysis, were found in the main data bases (i.e., WOS, Scopus, and others). A lack of an ade-quate approach for sampling and treatment of small samples was generally found. Problems with the proper application of the common PLS-SEM analysis procedures for the assessment of the outer and inner models, as well as with the application of advanced PLS-SEM approaches. Future studies should as-sess the suitability of using a PLS-SEM approach, depending on the research objective supporting the method, the conditions supporting its use, and its limitations. Guidelines are provided to researchers on when PLS-SEM is an appropriate research tool for neuromarketing research, which analytical method to use, and how to validate and communicate the results.

    Die Beziehung ist gut, das Vertrauen ist besser : ein Führungsmodell der Mitarbeiterbindung
    (GBI-Genios Deutsche Wirtschaftsdatenbank GmbH, 2022-04-14)
    Eine hohe Beziehungsqualität zwischen Führungskraft und Mitarbeitenden ist das Ziel des Leader-Membership-Exchange (LMX) Ansatzes. Die Anwendung dieses Ansatzes wirkt sich positiv auf das Vertrauen in die Organisation und das organisationale Commitment von Mitarbeitenden und wiederum negativ auf die Kündigungsabsicht dieser aus. Auf Grundlage einer Literaturrecherche wird der LMX-Ansatz als Einflussfaktor auf die Konstrukte der Mitarbeiterbindung, Commitment und Kündigungsabsicht in einem Modell herangezogen, wobei das Vertrauen in die Organisation als Mediator dieser Beziehung integriert wird. Dieses Führungsmodell der Mitarbeiterbindung wird mittels der Methodik der Strukturgleichungsmodellierung analysiert. Dazu wird ein Datensatz aus dem Schweizer Human-Relations-Barometer angewendet. Das Modell bestätigt, dass Beziehungsqualität zwischen Führungskraft und Mitarbeitenden einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Mitarbeiterbindung hat. Aus diesen Erkenntnissen lassen sich verschiedene Maßnahmen, z. B. für eine verbesserte Bindung von Mitarbeitenden an das Unternehmen ableiten.

    Stetiger Wandel oder anhaltende Bedeutung : wie beeinflusst die Laufbahnplanung die Kündigungsabsicht?
    (Pabst Science Publishers, 2021)
    Die Frage, welche Bedeutung die Karriereplanung für Mitarbeitende und Unternehmen haben kann, wird bereits seit fast 30 Jahren diskutiert. Dabei wird meist von einer Entwicklung von der traditionellen und linearen über die entgrenzte und flexible Karriere hin zum Konzept der Employability, die die Erhöhung der Arbeitsmarktfähigkeit von Mitarbeitenden beschreibt, ausgegangen. Laufbahnplanung als Teil des Karrieremanagements spielt hierbei eine entscheidende Rolle. Dabei stellt sich die Frage, inwieweit die Bedeutung des Einflusses der Laufbahnplanung tatsächlich einem Wandel unterliegt oder ob diese über mehrere Jahre hinweg stabil bleibt. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht anhand eines aufgestellten Strukturgleichungsmodells den Einfluss der Laufbahnplanung auf die Kündigungsabsicht und bezieht die Arbeitszufriedenheit dabei als Mediator mit ein. Um zu prüfen, ob im Laufe der Zeit ein Wandel dieser Beziehung stattgefunden hat, wurden Datensätze aus den Jahren 2012, 2014, 2016 und 2018 des Schweizer Human-Relations-Barometer miteinander verglichen. Nach der allgemeinen Prüfung des aufgestellten Modells wurden die Daten auf Generalisierbarkeit sowie zeitliche Stabilität getestet.
