Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , Das Methoden Spiel „SPALTEN Expedition“: Akzeptanzsteigerung durch Erfahrungen und Erfolgserlebnisse(Fraunhofer Verlag, 2017-06); ; ; ; During product creation, product developers can apply various methods to be supported in their work and enhance the quality and efficiency of the respective processes. Even though the additional benefits and added value of the different methods have been verified in many studies, they are not used very widely due to insufficient transparency about relevant methods suitable for the specific situations and requirements, deficiencies in user friendliness, and a lacking sense of achievement during everyday use. The question is, how can methods be learned and experienced in a controlled practical environment and how can actual achievements be attained? A possible approach to increasing the frequency of application and the acceptance of methods is to learn and implement them by playing. This may reduce application obstacles and increase method application. In the literature, this novel approach is referred to as gamification. In the projects performed at the Institute of Product Engineering, a game format for method learning and experiencing was developed. It was the objective to create a learning game by means of which methods can be learned and experienced using the SPALTEN problem solving method.Publicationtype: Conference Paper41 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , ProVIL - Produktentwicklung im virtuellen Ideenlabor: Anwendungs- und Implementierungsmodell eines Live-LabsIn the Live-Lab ProVIL - Product development in the virtual Idea Laboratory students yearly develop innovative product concepts in cooperation with a partner from the industries. Thereby exist three dimensions: In terms of teaching ProVIL follows the goal to skill up the students. In the research dimension, ProVIL is understood as research environment to evaluate methods, processes and tools. In respect to the innovation dimension, the project results shall have as much innovation potential as possible. Between the three dimensions, large synergetic potentials and conflicts of objectives exist. In this article, the Live-Lab ProVIL 2016 is analyzed to deviate an implementation model for ProVIL 2017. The implementation model is modeled using the integrated product development model to enable the generation of a reference model for ProVIL in the future.Publicationtype: Conference Paper35 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Access status: without files , Die Frühe Phase der PGE - ProduktgenerationsentwicklungThe “Early Stage“of the PGE - Product Generation Engineering aims at an evaluated product specification which on one hand includes a sufficient amount of differentiating characteristics for product success and on the other hand doesn't exceed a certain development risk. Decisions which are made at this point have a great impact on following process and product characteristics; those consequences can hardly be foreseen completely resulting in a high amount of uncertainty. Looking at the “Early Stage” in terms of PGE instead of classic new construction allows for better description and structuring of the situation. With that in mind this contribution introduces a definition of the “Early Stage” in the context of PGE. Based on the PGE approach reference products serve as an essential element to enhance the structure of the “Early Stage” and reduce uncertainty. A more precise description and a more focused design of the “Early Stage” improve the basis for necessary decisions as well as for the estimation of their consequences and thus the quality of those decisions.Publicationtype: Conference Paper141
