3D-printed cyclic voltammetry cell based on 50 mL laboratory glass bottle
    (2026-12-16)
The models belong to a 3D-printed cyclic voltammetry cell that is based on a 50 mL laboratory glass bottle. The lid is inserted into an open GL32 laboratory glass bottle lid. The counter electrode (CE) is established by routing a coiled platinum wire through the holder. The working electrode consists of a 99.95% platinum plate (1 mm thickness, 9 mm^2 surface area) soldered to a platinum wire.

Data for publication: Experimental studies on microscopic, multiphase transport phenomena: Novel applications of light sheet fluorescence microscopy
Over the past two decades, light sheet fluorescence microscopy has developed to a powerful tool for studies of dynamics in biological systems. In a new development, we apply light sheet fluorescence microscopy as a novel experimental measurement technology within the field of multiphase process engineering and fluid dynamics. The technology enables a number of novel studies of single- and multiphase transport phenomena on a microscopic scale. In the current publication, we introduce the first implementation of light sheet fluorescence microscopy in the field and demonstrate its applicability on one exemplary measurement of diffusive oxygen mass transfer from an oxygen bubble to degassed water. The results prove that such measurements can be conducted with a high spatial resolution with a submicron pixel pitch and enable precise studies on microscopic transport phenomena. Besides measurements of mass transfer, on which we lay the focus here, light sheet fluorescence microscopy further enables studies of fluid dynamics on a microscopic scale.

A 3D-printable Flow Cell for in-line NMR Spectroscopy & Relaxometry
    (2026-02-18)
The presented model is a resin 3D-printable flow cell for in-line measurements in a Spinsolve 80 Carbon Ultra (Magritek GmbH) bench top nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer. It is designed to be fully printable without any post-printing modifications. The two column parts thread into each other and provide a cavity of 500 μL that is intended to hold immobilized enzyme for flow catalysis or empty resins for dynamic relaxometry experiments. The upper and lower column part each has an integrated mesh of 0.125 μm pore size to hold typical resins. The threaded fittings are designed to use regular 1/16" HPLC tubing. To create a proper seal inside the column, the tubing has to be flanged using, e.g., a thermoelectric flanging tool. The column is filled, assembled and can finally be placed in the opening of the NMR device.

NMR Dataset from "A novel method for quantifying enzyme immobilization in porous carriers using simple NMR relaxometry"
NMR data for publication "A novel method for quantifying enzyme immobilization in porous carriers using simple NMR relaxometry" in Biochemical Engineering Journal. The data was acquired on a Spinsolve 60 system at the Institute of process imaging. Multiple batches of enzyme carrier with different enzyme loadings were measured. This data is used to validate the NMR pore-filling model described in the paper, which uses NMR relaxometry data to establish a pore-filling ratio which can be used to guide immobilization.

Concentration Data of the Aldol Reaction Catalyzed by L-threonine Aldolases Measured by In-Line NMR
The dataset contains concentration data from the aldol reaction between benzaldehyde and glycine, catalyzed by L-threonine aldolase, yielding L-threo- and L-erythro-β-phenylserine. Measurements were performed using benchtop NMR and are used for progress curve analysis in the context of a scientific publication. The data are provided as supplementary information to this publication.
